What the Armenian cuisines like.
I am going to look at what the Armenian cuisines like. My approach is evaluation. I will be
focusing on unique foods, acoholic drinks and mineral waters (non-alcoholic drinks) of my
Food in Armenia is one of the chief attractions. Each region has its own unique cuisine with
its own special flavour. There are number of delicious dishes in my country. Some of them I
want to mention.For example, Khashlama is boiled meat and potatoes, and the kebab is spiced
minced meat cooked over a fire or in a pan. Harisa however, is a very ancient and traditional
meal closely linked to Easter. Consisting of wheat and chicken, many families in Armenia still
continue the tradition of serving Harisa on Easter Day. Spas is a popular soup that consists of
egg and flour stirred into matsoun, a sour diary product is called yogurt.
Lavash which is called the national thin, paper like bread of Armenians. It is baked in
Tonyr(earthenware ovens in the ground ) and they are so transparent that the sunrays
pass through them. Armenians use it also as a plate, a saucepan, and a spoon. Many
dishes are cooked on mild fire, covered with lavash. Traditionally Armenians eat their
food folded in lavash.
There are number of marvelous types of wine and brandy produced in my country.
Wine is the part of the national lifestyle, and traditional dishes are not complete without
wine. Armenian products a remarkable variety of grapes under the soil and climate
conditions perfect for fermenting excellent dry wines .Our different types of wine
are becoming very popular, since they have begun to win international competitions.
Brandy which is Armenia's enterprises produce over a dozen brands of brandies which
according to the unanimous opinion of expert tasters are in no way inferior to the world-
famous French ones. Cognac (called brandy in the west due to...
