The Importance of a Balanced Diet
It is often mentioned that good health starts off with a balanced diet. Nowadays, we often hear about people suffering from all sorts of problems such as obesity, malnourishment and fatigue. All these cases are usually linked to the fact of not having a proper diet. People, especially in the urban areas, have access to all kinds of unhealthy food like junk food, fast food, colourful candies which all contain artificial flavouring and colouring. These artificial products are bad for health and may cause cancer and other diseases.
To avoid being victims to such illness, we must be aware of our daily diet; we must try our best to avoid such unhealthy food. Before we buy any food, be sure to check on its ingredients to avoid consuming artificial products or other harmful chemicals. We should also try to read consumer magazines which will tell us what food are safe to take and what are not.
Avoid eating too much meat especially red meat. Eating too much of it can lead us to cholesterol problems. Instead, eat more vegetables and fruits which are good for cleansing our body. They also enhance our body with many vitamins that are good for our health and skin. Exercise will also do a good job in maintaining good health. Exercising 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week is good enough.
In conclusion, to have good health, we must train ourselves to have good discipline. Without this, it will be very hard for us to succeed in maintaining good health. Good things never come easy.
