“How do the Principles of the United Nations Declaration relate to Saint Leo’s core value of community?”
The United Nations Declaration of Human Rights refers to the rights that are given to every human no matter what. They are written for all to see and for all to adhere to. A right in this sense is the privileges given to us all on account of someone thinking of the future. These rights are given to us all at birth and can’t be taken away no matter what. There have been other laws created to get as close to offending these rights as possible but to no avail they have not prevailed.
Human Rights such as freedom of speech give the right to say what we want and whom at free will. Having a right to speak for oneself is very important because without a voice who are we as a person. I mean yeah we have a president that speaks for us in a sense but us as a people very much influence a lot of what is said. Also going alone with this is the freedom of belief also. Which gives us all the right to believe whatever it is that we want to believe? Whereas in some countries a religion or belief may be forced upon but in this life we have a right. Of course there are small groups all over that are still enforcing beliefs upon other especially those born in to families of such cult groups. We have a sense of freedom of peace and freedom in this world. In most countries they are not even allowed to wear what they want to they can’t even look where they want. It is very important for us to learn these rights and to understand them because in some instance if you don’t know any better people won’t tell you. No one has the right to tell another person what to do. Every person with enough knowledge meaning no babies and not a child but 18 an older those considered adults has a right to decide what it is that they want to do, whether the decision is smart or not. No one person can own another person as in no slavery....
