Ten Years from Now

10 years from now
I used to never think about my future in my past, but now I have begun to think about my future once I moved to the USA. Ten years ago, I was in middle school, and was a kid that only wanted to do homework after school, eat, watch television and play with friends. I was a kid that did not care about the future and, if you had asked me what I wanted to be, I would have simply answered that someday, I will be a racecar driver. Now, I am able to clearly imagine the position I want to be in ten years. In ten years, I will have completed my bachelor’s degree in information technology. After my graduation at ECPI, I would have gotten a good entry-level job in the information technology industry. When I worked in the full-time job in information systems, I would have completed a master’s degree at evening college. Now, in the year 2023, I am working as a manager in the information technology field, and I hope I will get a senior managerial position in my current firm. I have changed into a different person than I was ten year ago. I have strived to accomplish both the goals that my wife has for me, and my career goals. I have worked very hard towards my studies, and have dedicated long hours at evening college researching and studying. My work ethic has definitely increased from ten years ago. For instance, I do not sit in front of the computer and browse all day long, wasting my time. Especially, through these years, I have refrained from using YouTube and Facebook. YouTube was taking out four to five hours in my day before, but now, I have that five hours to prepare for work-related activities. Most importantly, over the years, I have stopped procrastinating my school and work related activities, such as assignments, readings, and projects. Also, my laziness was my main flaw years ago.
