Teenagers Do Not Know How to Manage Money
Teenagers do not know how to manage money

According to a recent investigation and study, 87% of American teenagers do not know how to manage money. In Shanghai, China, 92.8% of middle schooler also have poor financial management skills; they rarely consider saving money in the bank or do any investment. So, what caused this phenomenon? In my opinion, it should be: teenagers was never taught how to manage their money. It’s also because they do not know how difficult it is to earn money and love to spend money without thinking of the future. .

First, whether in the school or at home, few families have actually cared about educating their children the important of money. Most parents will only care about their child's health and academic performance. Even during times when they are facing a finical problem themselves, they would not discuss these things with children. At school, even though students study many variety of courses, there aren’t any special lesson or classes about financial management. Teachers do not have the opportunity to teach them about personal finance skills.

Second, teenagers do not know how difficult it is to make money as their money are given to them as allowance. Teenagers spend most of the time at school every day, they rarely have the chance to contact with society, especially as their parents only focus on their studies instead. They also do not want their children to have a part-time job. Now a day, consider the bad economy, a lot of people had become unemployed, so teenagers would have to experiences the hardship to earning money.

Lastly, teenagers love to spend money. Teenagers like to compare and compete with each other therefore they will spent all their money on newest gadget on the television advertising or name brand clothing without considering if they can actually afford it.

In my opinion, parents and schools teachers all have the responsibility to teach teenagers how to

It is not uncommon for the evening news to talk about the local, state, or national budget. Controlling finances is an important issue for governments at many levels. Families also must control their finances. Some families create budgets that they stick to carefully, recording all outgoing and incoming money so that they never spend more than they bring in. Other families keep at least a mental count of where their finances stand. But what about young people—people your age?…

Teenagers are lazy, rebellious, and ungrateful. I am far from any of those statements. Laziness has never been an option for me, especially with the words of my mother. I knew I could not get or do what I wanted without handling the responsibilities I had at home. If I wanted to go out, I knew I would have to have my room clean and dishes washed. There was no if, ands, or buts about it. There is no way that every teenager in the world is lazy, rebellious, and ungrateful. Yet, people still label teenagers in the world by that description. There may be a few teenagers out there who are lazy, rebellious, and ungrateful. But, it is crazy how those few have seemed to destroy the image of every teenager in the world The hardworking, determined, and honest teenagers are thrown under the rug. However, we are still out here, waiting to be noticed, slowly trying to change that…

Some people say teenagers are careless and do not think about the consequences of their actions. I agree that they are careless and do not think about the consequences of their actions. Teenagers are careless when it becomes to choosing friends. We choose friends who contribute to our downfalls instead of our success. We try to fit in with friends by doing drugs, having sex, and drinking, but in reality the only thing our friends are doing is hurting us. We do not realize that out actions now affect our future.…

Persuasive Essay From my point of view, I think all teenagers deserve an allowance. Allowances help teenagers manage money and will prepare kids for the future. Without money managing experiences, adults of the future will spend money foolishly. Others will have plenty of cash if they learn young. Another reason I think allowances are a good idea is so teenagers will have a certain limit to spending money. A weekly or monthly allowance of a reasonable amount of cash is good. My allowance is $60 at the first of each month and if my parents don't give me my allowance on time, I charge them a $1 interest for each day I don't receive it. I think the amount I get is pretty reasonable because it's not too little and not too much so I seem to manage well. Allowances should depend on a family's financial situation. Some families are too poor to give their children an allowance and other families are so rich that they constantly hand out money to their children without refusing, which spoils most teens. In order to avoid that kind of situation I think whether a family is rich or poor they should still provide their child with an allowance. At least a dollar a day or just enough to realize the value of a dollar. Ten dollars every two weeks would be reasonable for a middle class family or whatever the family decides on. Any amount will be fine so that kids can learn to save there money and let it grow or just blow it all off and be broke. As I was saying, what is done with the money is the teenager's choice. But parents should still watch what their kids do with their money and guide them to spend it wisely. Some kids may start buying drugs or betting their money in foolish ways. Others, like myself can invest their money by putting it into stocks. This is also another learning experience for many teens. In conclusion to my opinion, allowances do help educate teenagers and at the same time prepare them for the future. Allowances may prevent bankruptcies in the future and help…
