1.0 Introduction
Youth suicide is one of the major problems throughout the world. For the past years, the rate of suicide has been increasing. Suicide is very rare among children but when they reach the adolescent age, the rates if suicide increases tremendously. Suicide is the third leading cause of death for 15 to 24 years old, according to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), surpassed by accidents and homicide.

This study investigates the cause of teenage suicide rate increasing in the past years, understanding the ways to help the victim of this phenomena and method to prevent the rate of teenage suicide from increasing.

According to Oxford Dictionary, suicide is a noun that is defines as the action of killing oneself intentionally while teenager is a noun defines as a person aged between 13 and 19 years old.
The risk of suicide increased dramatically when the adolescents have free excess to any kind of firearms and nearly 60% of all suicide in United States were committed with gun. Suicide rates differ between boys and girls. Girls think and attempt suicide twice as boys while boys died from suicide four times as girls. Boys died more often when the commit suicide because the ways they commit suicide are more lethal than the ways girls commit suicide. From this we can conclude that boys have higher tendency to die from suicide.

According to statistic, suicide is the third leading cause of death among teenagers. Experts estimate that each year, nearly five thousand teenagers commit suicide and the teen suicide rates have tripled since 1970. The ratios of male to female suicides are four to one but female attempt four times more than men. As the results, the governments in many countries throughout the world are implementing suicide awareness program especially in the education system to educate the young ones nowadays about suicide and hoping that the figures of suicide case to drop.
