Teenage pregnancy is a big issue in America today. More and more girls are starting adult hood before they have even finished high school. They haven’t grown up from being a kid themselves, how are they going to support a baby when they can’t even support themselves because girls in high school are not financially stable because they haven’t even finished high school yet. Some girls have to consider if an abortion would be a good choice also. “Some people say that this is society’s fault. Although having sex and getting pregnant is due to personal choices and decisions, there are a few things society could do to prevent it.” (timp.pg1) In general the world is in need of good role models. Teens look up a lot to celebrity’s and listens to what the media says. As more and more young girls get pregnant they are setting bad examples for young children who look up to them. Some girls who become pregnant feel that it won’t be hard and it’ll be fun because of celebrities they’ve seen on television or magazines, until they really find out what it’s like. They make shows especially about teenage pregnancy making it seem acceptable. Everybody in school should go through a sex education class at least once so they can be informed and know the risks of what can happen. Some people think abortion is absolutely wrong and would never even consider it. Being pregnant at a young age has lots of consequences with it. “A pregnancy will destroy a person's dreams and goals in an instance.” (reminisce.pg1) The feeling of being uncomfortable and having everyone look at you everywhere you go will cause shame upon a person. Young girls have their whole life in front of them, and having a baby will most likely cause your future goals to not happen. You will miss out on a lot that normal teens should experience in life, such as prom, parties, college, trips, going to college, etc. Being pregnant in high school means that you don’t have a career yet which means you’re not financially...
