Adolescent Pregnancy, also known as Teenage Pregnancy, is the period where teenage girls are at a stage where their mind is a bit undeveloped and carry around a fetus in their uterus. Did you know that the U.S. has the highest teen pregnancy rate in the industrialized world? It’s strictly because when you’re in your teenage years, it’s the time to have fun, you’re worry-free, and your living life to the fullest. However, several teenagers that are sexually active don’t comprehend the consequences of not using protection/contraceptives. When you have a newborn within your teenage years, it blocks you from finishing high school, college, having a profession in life, and many other things. There is no doubt that having a baby in your teen years can make your future and your future plans difficult and complicating. As mentioned before adolescent pregnancy is the period where teenage girls are at a stage where their mind is a tad undeveloped and carry around a fetus in their uterus. There are many difficulties in being pregnant. Most girls who become pregnant as a teen is because when they’re in a relationship, they consider themselves “in love”, which leads them to having fantasies of being “together forever” with their significant partner, and eventually fall into the enchantment of having sex without a contraceptive. Others end up being in a situation where they get raped, and others simply just want to have a baby when they don’t know about the consequences they’ll go through, but when they do end up having a newborn, they then face and understand the impacts and obstacles in their new life. Unplanned pregnancies are very unexpected and surprising. However, an unplanned pregnancy in teen mothers can have many difficulties like deciding to keep the child, give it up for adoption, or end the process of having the baby into abortion.
