I. Education youth
A. In class sex education
Educating our children about sex from an earlier age would effectively reduce the number of teenage pregnancies. Although many opponents would argue that this will cause earlier and more sexual activity. Better sex education, supporting the parents of youth to talk to them about sex and relationships, and targeting high-risk groups are just a few ways we can better educate our youth about teen pregnancy.
B. Sexual abuse
According to the University of southern California, Science Blog, 2004 “ Multiple studies have indicated a strong link between early childhood sexual abuse and subsequent teenage pregnancy. Up to 70 percent of woman who gave birth in their teens were molested as young girls”. C. Dating Factors
A UK study found that woman who are under the age of 18 are twice as likely to be beaten by their child’s father than woman over 18 , and that 70% of woman who gave birth in their teens had experienced adolescent domestic violence. II. Birth Control

Teens may be too embarrassed or frighten to seek the knowledge or get access to contraception. There are many ways to prevent pregnancy if a teen decides to engage in sexual activity.
