Technology's in Control
Modern technology is taking over people’s lives. Technology is becoming increasingly more advanced now a days and is only getting better. People are constantly on their electronic devices. Technology can be utilized for education, entertainment, work, or power. Technology can make life simpler but can led to serious addiction the more they interact with it. Technology for the most part can be beneficial to users but can ultimately led to an addiction to their electronic devices. The use of Technology over an extended period of time can led to people over indulging into their electronics. According to Susan Greenfield ,“ Teenagers . . . choose to inhabit producing changes in behavior. Attention spans are shorter, personal communication skills are reduced and there's a marked reduction in the ability to think abstractly” (Modern Technology Is Changing the Way Our Brains Work). Teenagers emotionally connected with them and act different when they have not used it. This is not a healthy way to live your life under technology's spell. In addition Tony Dokoupil stated that, “The current incarnation of the Internet – portable, social, accelerated, and all-pervasive- may be making us not just dumber or lonelier but more depressed and anxious, prone to obsessive- compulsive and attention-deficit disorders, even outright psychotic” ( Is the Web Driving Us Mad).
This shows that users are developing anti-social traits that can negatively affect their human behavior. With the extensive number of hours that people use their devices its no surprise that people are becoming codependent zombies that only wish to play all day. People need to get outside and get some exercise instead of staying inside all day playing with their device.
