People walking down the street talking or texting to friend on cell phone are not strange image anymore. It becomes familiar to most of us as a part of society. Cell phones, e-mail, Internet, television and social network are essentials with us in modern days. As the generations of “Net Generation”, I am adapting to the new form of communication. I understand how important technology has become. Therefore, I agree with Amy Goldwasser’s viewpoint about the convenient that new technology give for our lives as it is easier to keep in touch with some one, or keep up everything, and is a useful tool for education purpose in her article “What’s the matter with kids today?” Technology is making our communication easier in modern world today. However; we have to know how to control using technology so that it doesn’t interfere our relationship around us. In addition, we all are human we need the connection that is vital for our existence in human relationship. Today, it’s much easier to communicate with others than before by many advantage that technology brings to our lives. We can send and receive messages instantly by clicking a button on our cell phone. This has improved our lives in many ways by allowing us to become more interconnected and knowledgeable about the world. Many years ago, the only way people communicated with each other was meeting face-to-face or writing letters. Sending a letter might take them four or five days to receive. In the way of being delivered, many letters were lost or misplaced. Thus, people who were living or working in different countries might be unable to meet or communicate to each other. Moreover, it costs a lot of money for traveling and sending letters if people live too far from others. Nowadays, we are happy with the advance of new technologies such as email, cellular phones, Internet and social network.
