INTRODUCTION
Industrial technology education also known as technical education is that aspect of education which leads to the acquisition of practical and applied skills as well as basic scientific knowledge (NPE, 1981). It is a comprehensive action-based educational programme that is concerned with technical means, their evolution, realization and significance; with industries, resources and products, and their social cultural impact. It is an education designed to prepare the learner to earn a living or increase his income in an occupation in which technical information and an understanding of the laws of science and technology is applied to modern designs, production, distribution and services essential for success.
      The man or woman that is trained in Industrial technology education has his work somewhat similar to that of an engineer but narrower in scope. His job also requires some manipulative skills necessary to handle properly tools and instruments needed to perform the technical tasks. In his special field, he has considerable knowledge of industrial processes and in this field he knows how to apply the necessary principles of the physical sciences, and mathematics. It is a planned programme of courses and learning experiences that begins with the explanations of career options, supports basic and academic and life skills and enables achievements of   high academic standards, leadership, preparation for industry defined work, and advanced and continuing education (Dike, 2009). It prepares the learners for careers that are based in manual and practical activities, traditionally non-academic and totally related to a specific trade, occupation or vocation.
      Caswell and Campbell (1935) defined the curriculum as all the learning experience which students have under the guidance of the school.
