“Teambuilding is an important aspect of management that promote better communication between management and its employees (Temme & Katzel, 1995, p. 112).” To master the art of Teambuilding Jim Temme and Jeaine Katzel giving an idea that all team member should have a linked in a common purpose and Goals. All team members should have done their task and continued actively involved in their outcomes. As a student of University of Phoenix I have learn teams are especially appropriate for conducting tasks that are high in complexity and have many interdependent subtasks. Teamwork can be challenging sometime, especially when it incorporates project planning. The key in project planning in teams is able to understand others strengths and weakness, working style, communicating and setting deadlines for the project. One group by itself doesn’t necessarily become a team. A team is normally having members with different skills and personalities through a coordinated effort which allows each member to maximize each member strengths and each member weaknesses. In that way, all team members can be clearly to set goals, make decisions, and solve a problem. As the supervisor, Team leaders willing to share power and team members willing to assume the responsibility together set goals, make decisions, and solve the problem. Specifying the preferred situation is important. And again there must be trust involved in order for team to grow and prosper. Team leaders need to be as clear as possible about where team wish to go. If Team leaders and Team members can visualize the changes team wish to see and the difficulties which may block team, team will have a better chance of persevering and achieving. One way of doing this is by asking team member the question. What do team member want to see happening with this team in one year?
