Subject: Team Leadership
First I would like to thank you for the opportunity in enabling the successful expansion with in our organization into a new market segment. I am happy to say that our team chosen for the task are not only reliable, but will serve as a vital resource for a stable management approach. Looking into each team members skill set I was pleased to find that 2 out of 4 members share the same skill set, which not only helps supports one another but defuses the potential bottle neck on information that will be discussed below as part of the new segment introduction process.
Highlighting our first member of our group I have found his willingness not only delightful, but amiable. His ability to assist myself and the other two members that have same two skill sets has prompted great communication and eased the stresses of leadership. For example, the other two members are reflective and very creative, while left to there own devises they have smoothed over potential rough patches of new market introduction. Allowing me to be versatile and innovative with the goals set.
Basic Starting guidelines are as follows:
Management
Drive, Skill
Communication
Goal
Standard
Innovation
People Management
Motivation
Accomplishment
Result
Market impact
Improvements
Our main leadership approach will easily be transformational with in our course of expansion. Due to similar skill sets that are able to complimented each member enables us the ability of productive and efficient communication. “It's a new challenge to see how people can change your look. I like words like transformation, reinvention, and chameleon. Because one word I don't like is predictable” Wise words spoken by Naomi Campbell. As it relates to our team, the current urgency with in our group comes from the ability to lead with motivation rather than a sole base of performance results. My focus as the leading management member for the group is to set

I'm jet lagged and tired. My alarm goes off, a screeching "beep, beep, beep!" I get out of bed, turn the alarm off, and begin my routine - coffee, shower, flight suit, bag drag from the lobby to the crew bus. Once all bags are loaded onto the airplane, we head over to base operations for our crew brief. Crew brief is complete and its back to the aircraft, so I can refuel, inspect, and then take off. This is my life as a C-17A Flying Crew Chief (FCC) stationed at Travis AFB CA. You're a jack of all trades when you're an FCC. The C-17A is a large military transport aircraft. It performs strategic airlift missions, and transports troops and cargo throughout the world. When on these types of missions, I'm usually gone from one to two weeks depending on whats going on in the world. There was a mission that took us from California to South Carolina to pick up Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles. We crew rested there before we started our…

In the beginning of the semester our Team Leadership class was presented with the task to help make an organization’s team more effective. We had the freedom to choose who our desired organization could be and to observe them. After much thought and consideration, we chose to observe the Association of Information Technology Professionals, more commonly known as AITP. Our goal for this semester was to observe the AITP group and evaluate our findings to help them become more effective as a team. We would present our findings in a workshop setting, which would in turn, help them see areas where they can improve on.…

The group originally chose the project on respect towards older people aimed at 15-19 year olds however, following a group discussion decided to change the project to recognising stress in carers. This was because the group felt that the carers topic was currently highlighted in the media and there was a large volume of literature available from a variety of sources. The group also felt that the respect towards elders project was quite a broad topic which could be interpreted in many different ways which may have been challenging to convey on a poster. The group preferred a poster over a leaflet as they felt it could reach a wider audience when placed anywhere rather than someone having to physically collect a leaflet. The group also thought a poster would be more eye catching, easier to read and concise for stressed busy carers who wouldn’t want to read large volumes of text. 152 words…

The importance of teamwork lies in the significant effect that it produces, especially when being properly applied and managed. It creates flexibility and coordination among members and enables them to use their talents and participate in taking decisions. It also provides a good deal of acceptance, understanding and physical interaction, which cannot be gained individually. This is the reason why members rely on teamwork to get the feedback, attention and moral support which they constantly need. As a result, teamwork leads to a great improvement in the quality of work produced, making the process more fun and less frustrating.…

One of the key roles for effective Team Leaders is to communicate with their team in a variety of ways. To complete this task you need to prepare and present a briefing to your team. The topic of the briefing should relate to a work issue that you and your team will be required to participate in – e.g. reviewing production figures with the aim of improving production, a forthcoming team building event. The briefing should take no more than 5 minutes to deliver.…

Due to the Team Charter, all of the “ice-breaking” was far behind us and our mutual trust was still high. We did very well working together on our previous project and had great results. We did, however, experience the “forming” stage for this project. We held back for a little bit to see who would take charge of our new assignment. I was the leader for the Team Charter and thought I would give my other team members a chance to lead. We then realized that we didn’t have time to play games because we were the first group presenting in just a few days. We then selected three leaders for the three different sections of the project according to our strengths; Marlo: written report. Nate: PowerPoint and hand-out. Jason: Time and presentation.…
