Team Charter Analysis
Individual differences can play a major role in how team members interact, resolve conflict, and achieve desired goals.   These very same differences can also lead to team dynamics that can foster effective or unproductive team results.   Understanding a team member’s special characteristics and talents is imperative and helpful in identifying strengths and weaknesses. How many times in a work setting, has someone attempted to “read or get an angle” on their coworker’s character, hoping to get a feel of where he or she was coming from?   Essentially the ability to read or understand where a person is coming from is a skill most people strive to develop, simply because the skill is useful in dealing with difficult situations and people.   Similarly, this skill is also vital to developing a highly effective and cohesive team that can accomplish its targeted goals while minimizing conflict.
In order to evaluate our team characteristics, a review of the team’s composition, personality traits, similarities, and differences should be reviewed. The purpose of this paper is to identify and evaluate team differences using the team charter to improve the team’s overall performance.
        To begin, Mary Williams, Terri Hudson, Taylor Halfnor, and Sheila Davis are the members of Team A.   Each team member was required to complete the Jungian 16-Type Personality Assessment, The Do I Trust, and How Good Are my Listening Skills Assessments.     The assessment provided insight into each member’s personality type, the member’s ability to trust each other, and the level of listening skills possessed.   The findings were interesting, but remarkably similar.
