Teaching in Rural School Is Better Than Teaching in Urban School

In my opinion I agree that teaching in rural school is better than teaching in urban school. It was a great place to learn how to teach. There have small class sizes. Classroom management is fairly easy. Teacher was able to push kids because parents knew teacher as a person. They realized teacher wanted the best for their children. The other side of this was to live in a village of about 100. Teacher got to know pupils, their parents, and even their grandparents. Teacher social life is always with the people who knew her students personally. Teachers are also involved in many aspects of the community and become involved with the various activities in church or etc. Even though the population is sparse, there is actually quite a lot out there. It is beautiful area and we know, teacher would enjoy it. We can see the fantastic scenery in rural areas..It would be a whole new experince for the teachers who have probably spent of their lives in cities and towns and teacher should therefore welcome the move. Living in rural setting might even kindle in them the love of outdoors and adventure. And should they give to this love, their total experience may even toughes them up. While their pupils learn from them, the teachers themselves could learn a lot from their pupils and the communitiy in which they live. The most obvious advantages for rural teacher is the financial incentives given to teacher. The offering financial incentives, emphasizing the positive aspects of rural living and building a sense of community from the first insteraction. The Education Ministry’s groundwork to provide better facilities for rural teachers. Rural school provide better housing and other amenities to make the teachers as comfortable as possible. Special allowances for such hardship assignments of up to RM1500 a month and free tickets to allow them to go home during school holidays,thus saving teacher a few hundred ringgit in airfare. While these perks may be important, teachers found out something that is sorely lacking in Urban, RESPECT. Teachers are highly respected in a rural setting. People look up to them. Unlike their counterparts in rural schools, they have very few disciplinary problems since parents would leave it to the teachers to do their job with little interference. They are happy that their children were getting an education, and therefore appreciate those ready to serve in such backward areas.
