THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
Introduction
Personality refers to the total person.   It is the expression of what you are and what you do.   The core of each individual   is   the product of all responses that are expressed in everyday living.   It includes the things that you say as well as think in many different situations that you constantly meet.
Teachers play a crucial role in the learning of the pupils.   They are the agents of social changes, facilitators of desirable learning, counsellors of learners, consultant and resource persons, researchers and evaluator and manager of the teaching – learning situation. With these crucial roles, teachers really need to be competent.  
Studies conducted in the Philippine Normal University had the following results:   when teachers teach, they manifest one or more characteristics which at the same time contribute to an overall positive effect on pupils’ performance, habits and skills and their social relationship.   Effective teachers, characteristics promote and enhance pupils’ learning and personality.  
A   person who possesses good personality does not only act accordingly on certain situations.   It is an aspect of his life that he practices all throughout in any situation.   Leadership of all school teachers must be exemplified for their pupils to emulate.   They must be the model to their subordinates.   They must serve as the model to their pupils morally, emotionally, socially, intellectually and educationally.   A teacher has to ensure good and ideal personality in his class in that way the pupils will follow him.   The pupils will be well behaved   the recitation and whenever   he is not around, there is someone that will supervised and direct   the class for an activity to be done.
The schools are established for the benefit of the children. Children are sent to learning institutions to be guided toward the fulfilment of their plans in life, for achievement of objectives and dreams they have set for... [continues]
