The art we display is a representation, of an individual. Once, art was framed, now it is
displayed on the body of a person. The art speaks of the individual’s belief, or even their culture.
The definition of tattoo is said to come from the Polynesian word, “ta”, meaning to “strike
something.” The word “tatau”, came from the Tahitian word, meaning, “to mark something.”
