The Blackberry Torch comes with the traditional as well as the latest smart phone features. Having the Torch to be the first Blackberry to run on the new and improved Blackberry OS 6 and powered by a 624 MHz processor along with the new style design outlook of the hardware, it attracted many old as well as new consumers to try out this product. With the brand new OS software it enhanced consumers’ multimedia experience, provided a much easier and better browser and also added a much more efficient user interface. The torch is the first slider phone that blackberry has created which is going to be the start of a new series of phone that they will be launching. When creating this phone the engineers wanted to create something that had the combination of a full QWERTY keyboard, the new track pad from Blackberry, but also the touch screen.

Introducing the new blackberry torch to the world is to mainly target is the teens, young adults, and also business people market. Teens and young adults are targeted enterprises’ such as these wants to start luring in as young as possible, make it something that they want and impress them so they will stay with that company for a very long time. It’s hard to find new consumers but harder to keep consumers. The Blackberry Messenger that is also provided with Blackberry has brought people closer than ever before, but also with the torch the system is so fast that you don’t need to be in the office just to send files and emails back and forth; it simply allows the user to just use it just about anywhere you are. Also with all the new features on the torch such as its games and other apps people want to spend more and more time on their blackberry’s.
