TALKING BROUGHT ME HERE
TALKING BROUGHT ME HERE
It was a pleasant and a calm day he was crossing the Kala bagh forest but the forest was very terrifying and deep. A hunter named, Kagwa was coming there from a small village named Toba Tek Singh. He was going to Raj Mahal palace in order to meet the king who ruled at that time. The king of that area who has just conquered their city was very cruel and harsh. He had banned the hunting profession and forced people to start farming even he had forced their children to work in fields. Rest of the villagers didn’t want to take any risk so they didn’t argue or stand up for their rights to live freely and do whatever they want to do for earning money. Kagwa was one and the only person who stood for their rights so he was going to Raj Mahal palace to have a chance to meet the king and let him know about their interests in hunting profession and to request him to let them live their lives according to their wish.
So after crossing that deep forest finally he reached to king’s palace where he requested the soldier to let him go inside to meet the king. But the soldier rejected and told him to go back otherwise he would not return to his home back alive. But Kagwa was determined; he has faith in himself and was confident about his talking skills. So Kagwa refused to take his warnings seriously and forcedly got inside the palace .The soldier ran after him but couldn’t catch him. Kagwa directly ran towards the king’s room where he was sleeping, Kagwa made him to wake up by calling “Majesty” Majesty” .King woke up immediately as he was scared and thought Kagwa was there to kill him but after Kagwa told him that he was here to talk to him about his policies king was putting on his Empire, so he got angry and gave him a bad look also said to his soldier r to take him away and kill him on the spot as Kagwa stood against of his rules. Thus the soldier took the sword out beheaded him and left. Kagwa was still speaking when the soldier was killing him but no one was eager to listen to his words.
Week after this incident the king was relaxed and was sleeping on his bed one night then in his dreams he saw Kagwa’s talking skull who was speaking and telling him about all his hardships and persecution he was putting on his Empire. King woke up suddenly and was very much afraid. Next day he ordered to take all his rules and policies back and let his Empire live their lives peacefully.

In the story “The Man Killed” By Tim O’Brien, the narrator stares in silence at the man he has just murdered. He imagines all sorts of things and describes every part of him, from the blood running out of his wounds to his dainty long fingers. He, then starts telling us about his life and visualizes his past, present and future. The narrator envisions this man of My Khe as a scholar, not a fighter; he believes he is someone who went to war only to fulfill his patriotic duty. During this whole time, O’Brien never really speaks, and the silent is broken by two of O’Brien’s fellow soldiers. First Azar speaks, his apathetic ways are much too cruel, since he compares the soldier to shredded cereal, this also shows he feels pleasure from the man’s death. The second voice is from Kiowa, who in fact sympathizes wit O’Brien but still urges him to move on and tries to make him see that the young soldier’s death was necessary, because if he hadn’t killed him, O’Brien would have been the one…

I looked around my messy house. My stomach made weird noises I don’t think it should have been making. I could tell it was because of the freshness of the food I ate. Something was lingering in my mind I couldn’t stop thinking about. I had this strange urge to go and help Gandhi. It wasn’t a want, it was a need. There was this fire building up inside of my stomach ever since I was dropped at the orphanage, to when Uncle Romonaivsten nurtured me and set me off to my own life, all the way to now. Uncle Romonaivsten was my “adopted father” who took care of me and gave me a lot of money so I could live a life of my own. He was a very rich British businessman and had the softest heart of anybody I met. He felt sorry for me at the orphanage, and adopted me. The majority of my happiest memories are with him. I blamed my parents’ death on the British for taxing them to poverty. They treated us like we were a lower class. This was a golden opportunity for me to avenge my parent’s death. I felt crazy, but I didn’t care, I couldn’t hold it in any longer. All those years just living in my house that I didn’t even buy for myself, and not standing up to the one thing I thought was wrong. I was probably driven crazy like my dad; but I am not going to cowardly suicide like him, I am going to stand up to this regime. I went into my bedroom and started packing up a duffel bag. I put some clothes, a towel, toothpaste, and some other things I always take with me when I go places. I took a rickshaw to the airport. Emotions of hatred and sorrow were tearing me apart. On the way to the airport, I saw poverty in India at its worst. Kids washing cars so they could feed their family. Shoe shiners plagued with malnutrition working for plump, well-fed, British. The dirt roads poorly maintained. At last, when I couldn’t watch any longer, we reached the airport. I booked a ticket for tomorrow. All of my actions were quick, sudden, and hasty, but I didn’t…
