Talk Radio and Item
1) The first item that I chose to represent myself was my plane ticket to Europe. For spring break in 2012, my soccer team and I went to the Netherlands and England to play soccer for 10 days. It was a great trip that included site seeing, lots of touring and playing some of the soccer club over there. I chose this item to represent myself because it was the best vacation that I have ever been. The second item that I have chosen to represent myself is a picture of my family and I. My family means the world to me. My family is a very close-knit family. We all love one another and are each other’s best friends. I chose this item because my family has made me what I am today, and without them I would be nowhere. They are always there for me and always support me. Another item that I have is a bag of chips. To me, chips are a pivotal food group. My diet contains chips, any food with salt, steak, and more chips. Ever since I was born I have absolutely loved chips. I have included chips in my bag because they are my favorite food and I have them every day. My mom said that once I was sleeping and I woke up to a bag of chips being opened. Needless to say, I love chips. In my bag is one of my old soccer jerseys. I have been playing soccer since I was three. I have always had a competitive nature about me and want to win. When I was about 4 years old I scored 9 goals in a game, you could say that soccer is in my blood. The jersey that I have in the bag is the one for the team that I went with to Europe. I chose this item to represent me because I have a love and a passion for the game. My life practically revolves around my club soccer schedule. The last item that I have in my bag is a picture of a four-wheeler. My mom’s side of the family has about 2000 acres in East, Texas. Since the age of seven, our family has been riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers out there as a family hobby. We enjoy going out to our cabin on long weekends to kick back and enjoy it. I

The second thing I chose to put in my bag are some pictures of my family. I have my grandparents, all my aunts and uncles, my mother and sister, my fiancé and baby, and finally my dog Dori. The reason I chose these pictures to put in my bag is because I couldn’t stress enough how much my family members mean to me. I have had several friends either lose their brother, mother, or even grandparents, and it makes me WANT to cherish every moment with my family and REALIZE that I should. It also makes me thank God for the family that he blessed me with.…

The things I carry are classified by grade of importance. One of the commonest things I carry in my daily life, is a medal, that was an present of my sixth grade promotion which reminds me all my old friends from my primary school, those beautiful times so unforgettable where I did not have to worry about anything. The only things I had to worry were to play and to make sure my mom loved me. They were indeed beautiful times. The time passes very fast and never forgives. I just can remember as if it was yesterday when I went of vacation to Disney Land with my friends from my Peru's school in 2002.…

I had travelled all across the country, and seen things by first grade that most of my high school classmates still haven’t seen. The cross-country drives allowed me to see everything from Yellowstone National Park, to the mountains of Boulder Colorado, to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. Driving around the country in a packed Honda Odyssey minivan gave me the opportunity to see so many national treasures that many people will not see in their entire life, which I am incredibly thankful for.…

For my present day item to represent my life I believe the best object would be a bald eagle. A bald eagle is the top of the food chain, flying high above the trees as free as a bird. A bald eagle to me represents freedom. Freedom to do as I please just as the bald eagle flies as free as he can be. No one besides the eagle himself determines what path he may fly or what animal he may swoop down and devour.…

Two heavy things that I carry physically and emotionally include the green ‘Do your job’ wristband and the weight of my team and how my actions can directly represent the team. I carry both of these things because they help me decide to make good choices when I’m not with my teammates or coaches. The weight of the wristband is a very light object but the weight of the football team is very heavy on me and everyone on the team. These things I carry demand me to make the right choices in my life because I represent all of my coaches and all of my coaches in the same way and by carrying the wristband I am able to constantly reminding myself of how I represent the team. The weight of the team is something that I wish I could sometimes put down because at times, it is intimidating knowing how you're going to represent the team but I made the choice to carry the wristband in order to remind me that I am always acting for all of my coaching staff and teammates.…

The recent merger between Clear Channel Communications Inc. and AMFM has presented a rare opportunity for Radio One, Inc. The proposed divestiture of Clear Channel will be the largest in the history of the industry. Radio One, Inc. can acquire 12 established urban stations in the top 50 markets, which rarely become available. Market analyst have already speculated on the possible acquisition, causing Radio One’s stock price to rise from the mid-$40s to $97 a share! The trading multiple is at around 30x’s the forward BCF, which is substantially larger than the typical trading multiple for radio companies. If the acquisition of the 12 stations does not go through, there may be a negative reaction from the market, causing share prices to drop significantly.…
