- The recurring symbol of "gift" signifies both giving and receiving, which are both aspects of belonging (as seen in marriages, when both partners give & receive and therefore find belonging together)…

The second thing I chose to put in my bag are some pictures of my family. I have my grandparents, all my aunts and uncles, my mother and sister, my fiancé and baby, and finally my dog Dori. The reason I chose these pictures to put in my bag is because I couldn’t stress enough how much my family members mean to me. I have had several friends either lose their brother, mother, or even grandparents, and it makes me WANT to cherish every moment with my family and REALIZE that I should. It also makes me thank God for the family that he blessed me with.…
The things I carry are classified by grade of importance. One of the commonest things I carry in my daily life, is a medal, that was an present of my sixth grade promotion which reminds me all my old friends from my primary school, those beautiful times so unforgettable where I did not have to worry about anything. The only things I had to worry were to play and to make sure my mom loved me. They were indeed beautiful times. The time passes very fast and never forgives. I just can remember as if it was yesterday when I went of vacation to Disney Land with my friends from my Peru's school in 2002.…
I have in my backpack a small ball which represents sports for me. I received the ball from a friend of mine because he thought I would want it more because I love to play sports. I can play it anytime, anywhere, with anyone. I play volleyball and football for school, but will play any other sport without a problem. I believe this is my "field specialty" and what separates me from others.…
I had travelled all across the country, and seen things by first grade that most of my high school classmates still haven’t seen. The cross-country drives allowed me to see everything from Yellowstone National Park, to the mountains of Boulder Colorado, to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. Driving around the country in a packed Honda Odyssey minivan gave me the opportunity to see so many national treasures that many people will not see in their entire life, which I am incredibly thankful for.…
For my present day item to represent my life I believe the best object would be a bald eagle. A bald eagle is the top of the food chain, flying high above the trees as free as a bird. A bald eagle to me represents freedom. Freedom to do as I please just as the bald eagle flies as free as he can be. No one besides the eagle himself determines what path he may fly or what animal he may swoop down and devour.…
Two heavy things that I carry physically and emotionally include the green ‘Do your job’ wristband and the weight of my team and how my actions can directly represent the team. I carry both of these things because they help me decide to make good choices when I’m not with my teammates or coaches. The weight of the wristband is a very light object but the weight of the football team is very heavy on me and everyone on the team. These things I carry demand me to make the right choices in my life because I represent all of my coaches and all of my coaches in the same way and by carrying the wristband I am able to constantly reminding myself of how I represent the team. The weight of the team is something that I wish I could sometimes put down because at times, it is intimidating knowing how you're going to represent the team but I made the choice to carry the wristband in order to remind me that I am always acting for all of my coaching staff and teammates.…
It is a memory of my dad because he is the person that introduced me into soccer and changed me into a great person. Why this would be important is because it can remind me of to never give up, like how he did to me to teach about soccer overall. There is one specific ball he had since he was a child, and he kept it ever since that day he has gotten it. Soccer for me has been in the family since my grandfather was born, which can be a memory of my grandfather. Not only it can be a memory, but can be a…
1 Why does Radio One want to acquire the 12 urban stations from Clear Channel Communications in the top 50 markets along with the nine stations in Charlotte, NC, Augusta, GA, and Indianapolis, IN? What are the benefits and risks?…
The recent merger between Clear Channel Communications Inc. and AMFM has presented a rare opportunity for Radio One, Inc.
