It involves specifying the objective of the business venture or project and identifying the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieve that objective.  Here our subject for the S.W.O.T analysis is the Oracle Corporation. Strengths:

* Best of the breed product suite through various acquisitions. For example the Sun Corp acquisition has given it the explicit rights to the Java Inc. which is very widely used software, even used by its competitors. * Monopoly in enterprise databases. It’s the largest database management company with competition being very distinct, even then it also enjoys economies of scale, brand image and customer trust. * Technological Innovation. Due to its diversified bases its brain input is very versatile due to which it has a greater innovation capabilities which can carry it a long way. * Robust marketing position. It’s a recognized and well settled firm and also the market leader giving it an advantage over software market’s landscape....
