Introduction
“Sustainable agriculture is a way of raising food that is healthy for consumers and animals, does not harm the environment, is humane for workers, respects animals, provides a fair wage to the farmer, and supports and enhances rural communities” (sustainabletable.org). Depending on where you are purchasing your sustainable goods from purchasing these sustainable foods one is not only helping our economy they may also helping their own bodies. There are many unique ways to incorporate growing sustainable foods and incorporating the process into our daily lives. By using hydroponic production of fruits and vegetables you can also produce artistic piece of work plus nourishment. Sustainable Agriculture

There are many reasons to purchase sustainable foods for one’s family they range from the taste of the actual food, the health and well being of your family, and the support it gives back to the local community. “Most people claim that sustainably-raised food simply tastes better. For example, today's industrial-raised turkeys are injected with saline solution and vegetable oils to try to improve "mouth feel". Years ago, a cook only had to put a turkey in the oven; today, the bird must be marinated, deep fried or brined to try to counteract the lack of flavor and dryness inherent in the meat” (sustainabletable.org). Personally I think I would rather have a piece of meat that was not injected with additional fat or extra salt. By eating locally the health and well being of your family is affected as well. There is not as much preservative added to the food and also by eating locally grown and raised animals many of them are usually feed mainly grass which increases the Omega 3 in your diet. Omega 3 helps with the development of one’s heart. When you purchase locally grown sustainable foods you also support local farmers which in turn keeps more businesses...
