Throughout several interviews of friends, colleagues, & peers there one thing in common. Almost the majority of them have or believe in at least one superstition .they range from in many ways for example: people crossing their fingers thinking it’ll give them luck, to people dancing at sporting events hope in to distract opposing team player ,I’ve seen people were rally caps as well.
Out of all of them my favorite one is the Cross your Fingers superstition. I’m not really sure how or why it works I actually tried it myself while watching the Texans football game ,because we were down ,and needed luck to win ,and by some miraculous way it worked cause they ended up wining .
Even though crossing your fingers is my favorite superstition, the most popular one was people dancing .It’s been in use since our ancestor’s and its probably the most effective one because every time I do it, it worked .Not too long ago I dance at the Houston rockets game hoping to distract the opposing team player Kevin Durant, while shooting a free-throw .So as he shot I twerked as fast as I could and got him distracted enough that he poorly missed .Its weird but it worked.
Although dancing is one of the most common superstitions to date, I like rally caps better that when you flip your cap inside out in hope for your team to win. I’ve seen them in use in all sporting event from your local football team to the Olympics baseball games were it originated from. I Believe it’s the oldest and most commonly superstition to date.
Superstations there millions even though some are more commonly used than others .i believe they continually be used for years to come. As more and more people attend sporting events or your local family competitions events I believe newer superstions will arise ,though not everybody has a superstition they’ll develop one or have one sooner rather than later.
