Super bugs
There are many health and disease problems nowadays. In the last two decades or so, there have been super bugs that have been affecting many people. Superbugs is a strain of bacteria that has become resistant to antibiotic drugs. It lives in environments such as hospitals or health care. Methicillin- resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a type of super bug that has been spreading majorly in hospitals that are making people sicker than they already are. MRSA associated with elderly people tire quickly. MRSA is an infectious disease that has been escalating in Canada that started in Australia. MRSA often appears as a skin infection. A little girl was affected with MRSA in the hospital that is also affected with a type of pneumonia got sicker and worse. Another type of super bug is Vancomycin- Resistant Enterococci (VRE) that is also much resistant to antibiotic drugs that is spreading in hospitals too. Lately, hospitals nurses and others have been cleaning out a room after a patient in order to prevent any type of super bug and other bacteria there is to spread. VRE spreads by touch that has been started in Pittsburgh that is now spreading to Canada too. The impact super bugs has on my health decisions in the future is to have a more good care on personal hygiene and to take more personal care of my health. Also to limit the amount of antibiotics that is received because more than half of the antibiotics received are to treat viral infections for which antibiotics do not work. All over, people should be more aware about super bugs in order to prevent them since they are very hard to treat.
