What the 39 Clues books are all about and
The Changes to the Cover
Ever since Grace Cahill died and her Last Will and Testament was read, Amy and Dan Cahill (the main characters in all 10 novels) were chased from one continent to another, by their own family (uncles, aunts, and cousins). Grace Cahill gave all the chosen Cahills (they were chosen because of the branches each team belonged to) to join the race for the 39 clues and become the most powerful person (or people) in the world OR walk away with a million dollars. The two grandchildren of Grace (Amy and Dan) chose the race.

Book One: The Maze of Bones sets the story for all the adventures the Cahill kids are going to have to find all 39 clues and become the world’s most powerful people. They also find out that the Cahill Family is broken up into 4 Branches and in the branches the Cahill’s’ are all related. In book one, we find out that Benjamin Franklin was a Cahill from the Lucian Branch (from the first book, I can tell that the Lucian’s are an evil branch. Will they win? Will they be the first, only time will tell?

I decided for my 2nd book report to redo the cover for this book. I think the cover is important because it give the reader, you and me a quick picture of what the book will be about. I made a few changes. Here is what I did.

As you can see, this is a hard cover book with no jacket (like this one). The reason for this is because the book is published with clue cards (like these) in each book. The reader can join the hunt and log in the clue cards for more clues to solve the 39 Clues. Just to let you know, the hunt is over and the winners came from all over the world. But it is still fun the hunt for the clues and try to solve mystery.

As you can see, I kept the name: Book One, The Maze of Bone, the author: Rick Riordan and the Publisher: Scholastic the same. I did change lettering of the cities the book was printed with the same lettering used in the book for clues (see here)....
