Abstract
This research paper contains information gathered on the marriage age for girls. We set out to find what the perfect age for a girl would be to get married and maintain a stable family. We hypothesized that 25 would be most suitable. Also we wanted to find out what people’s opinion are on this subject. We found out girls getting married at early twenties was most preferable on people’s opinion. Our hypothesis was proven correct, through a mixture of both primary and secondary research.

Introduction
Marriage is a very essential part in our culture and our society. It is a ritual which is followed for generations from about 43-50 years back. The concept of marriage was introduced when man felt the need of a partner, who would provide them with legitimate biological heirs. At the beginning, girls were married off when they were merely child. Religion and women’s rights were not practiced then. The first recorded evidence of marriage ceremonies uniting one woman and one man dates from about 2350 B.C., in Mesopotamia. From then on evolution took place, marrying girls below 18 is considered illegal now. Cultures developed more introducing poetry, plays, literature and so on which introduced new emotion and love. After getting acquainted with this emotion marrying only for an heir lost its charm. They gave up the idea of changing partners often. Spending one’s whole life, sharing all sorrows and joy with one person gave a new meaning to life. Another revolution occurred, where women were given their own rights to have education. They were considered equal to men. They were allowed to be educated, sometimes even to participate in business, to do jobs, to use their creativity in writing or creating new aspects for themselves. In last few decades, the percentage of girls acquiring higher studies and professional training increased vastly. The education rate of girls rocketed. Now both men and women do job, and with the fall in economic condition it became more necessary that the women help the men financially. Even if not financially, sometimes she would like to do a job for her independence and stability. They would prefer to hold a job and maintain a stable family.
