Suicide is the act of deliberately killing yourself. The statement “life is precious, there are no circumstances where the taking of your own life is an acceptable option” is saying that suicide shouldn’t be allowed and there are no circumstances in life where it is acceptable. This essay will be talking about why people commit suicide and if it is the right thing to do or not. It will look at different viewpoints and talk about the increasing percentage of suicides in the world. Anyone who has taken the decision of committing suicide might not have to endure the pain on Earth and may believe that taking suicide is an safer and easier solution to the problems he/she are coping with. The person might not want to live and since it is their own life they can take that decision although I think that it isn’t the end to the problem, it will cause more trouble. I think that taking suicide is thought as being a coward and giving up, I think you should fight your problem. It is very rare that someone dies by suicide because of one cause; there are usually several causes for suicide e.g. bullying. Many people take suicide because depression is triggered by several negative life experiences and the person does not receive treatment for the depression. I believe that there is a solution for your problem and you shouldn’t give up easily. You should think about your family and dear ones after you’ve gone as they will be in grief. It could be hard for your family if you are the only child who is there to support them. You should think about others before taking a decision in a hurry since I believe that decisions taken in a hurry are often wrong. It could affect your siblings/friends and they might take the wrong step by looking at you. The wounds suicide leaves in the lives of those left behind by it are often deep and long lasting. My opinion is that it is easy to take suicide and end the problem although harder to fight against it; you should be strong however I know it is hard being in such a situation. You do feel depressed and feel that there is only one way out which leads to you killing yourself. People who commit suicide have strong reasons and feel it’s worthless to live. I believe that giving up isn’t right; even though the problem might seem big and cannot be solved you should try and try. I know it is hard if you have been trying for a long time and haven’t reached anywhere but I think you should talk to someone if you are at the point of taking suicide as it could help. 1.8% of worldwide deaths are suicides and the global suicide rates have increased 60% in the past 45 years. This suggests that many people do take suicide and it has increased over the years and this is a thing to think about. People often turn to suicide because they are seeking relief from pain although pain is a feeling and you have to be alive to feel it. I believe that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Nothing is impossible; you just need patience and have the motivation to resolve it. Suicides think that it is easier to take suicide since it is much quicker and they do not want to face their problems. In this they are right that it is easy to give up although I feel that because you never know what’s round the corner and you don’t know what opportunities life is going to give you, you might as well live. You might miss something that would be worth living and therefore I would say that life is precious and once you take a step out of the world there is no way back, there is no u-turn. Some people say that is less painful to take suicide than living although there is a quote that suggests something else, “Razors pain you; Rivers are damp; Acids stain you; and drugs cause cramp. Guns aren’t lawful; Nooses give; Gas smells awful; you might as well live.” It isn’t the best quote in the world since if you are going to die you can use a gun because you will not be sentenced once you have died although it does...
