“The recruitment process of finding and attracting capable applicants for employment. The process begins when new recruits are sought and ends when their application are submitted. The result is a pool of applicants from which new employees are selected.” Recruitment is the most important step in the employment of industrial labour in the process of staffing. The ultimate success of failure of employment depends on the methods of recruitment. Proper recruitment is the source for the increase of production and efficiency. Recruitment is the process of searching for prospective employees and stimulating them to apply for jobs in the organisation. When more persons apply for jobs then there will be scope for recruiting better persons. The job seekers too, on the other hand, are in the search bringing together those with jobs and those seeking jobs. Factors affecting recruitment Internal sources External sources a. Image of organisation c. unemployment situation “Selection is the process by which candidates for employment are divided into two classes”, those who will be offered employment and those who will not, since more candidates may be turned away than hired.
1) To study the recruitment and selection process in Care Hospital 2) To study the available sources for recruitment process or a management (HR) data bank. 3) To study the factors affecting the recruitment process. 4) To study the advantages of systematic recruitment and selection process. 5) To study the procedure involve in selection of candidates. Hypothesis:-
* “Fair recruitment and selections at Care Hospital results in optimum utilisation of available manpower.” * The recruitment process is carried in unbiased way.
Descriptive research is a preliminary study of the subject matter or investigation of the phenomenon. It aims at generating new ideas, increasing the familiarity with the problem. The research is based on primary data & secondary data. We have to take opinion, interview of the officers, executive. Also Secondary data would be used for collecting data on distribution channel. Data collection:
Primary data is that data which is collected for the first time & are fresh. They are collected by the researcher himself. The various methods for collecting primary data are as follows: * Questionnaire
* Spot Observation
* Personal interview
At first the research obtained secondary data from the publication and reports of the organisation and from the personnel departments. Then relevant questions will be asked to personnel officers in collecting data for analysis of recruitment and selection practises. Then, with help of collected raw data, final report will written * SOP

SAMPLING SIZE AND UNIT SIZE:-
Sample size taken is about 50 cases. 12.5% of total staff.
