• Using Axia’s Educational Resources
Using Axia’s Educational Resources is a big part in being successful at Axia College. I will use these resources throughout my studies at Axia College. The two most important features for me are the University Library and the Center for Writing Excellence. The library allows you to enter specific topics or key words and all the research information is right there for your viewing. The Center for Writing Excellence allows you to submit your work for helping to improve your writing skills. These are two main resources that I will use mostly throughout educational learning at Axia College. I have to admit my first week here was very overwhelming; but as the weeks passed and I learned the ropes, I found I enjoyed taking online classes. Everything I need is right here at my fingertips and don’t have to run all over to get material I need for my studies.
• Upholding Academic Honesty
Plagiarism is a not allowed at any time and is a very serious issue. At Axia College there is a strict policy that does not allow anyone to commit plagiarism. The way I check my work and to ensure that I did not commit plagiarism, I submit my paper to Center for Writing Excellence. The CWE has a built in plagiarism checker and this will cut down the risk of plagiarism. If any time you have to use direct quotes or cite someone else’s work, be sure to use quotations and references. This also cuts down on plagiarism. Procrastination is a big cause of plagiarism. By doing things at the last minute cause people to take short cuts, and sometimes take credit for things that is not their own. If you allow yourself more time to complete your task, plagiarism most likely will not happen. Always check your work, to be on the safe side. Being honest and well disciplined plays a big role in attending online classes and upholding academic honesty. Always check your work, to be on the safe side.
