The student management system is an automated version of manual Student Management System. It can handle all details about a student. The details include college details, subject details, student personnel details, academic details, exam details etc... In case of manual system they need a lot of time, manpower etc.Here almost all work is computerized. So the accuracy is maintained. Maintaining backup is very easy. It can do with in a few minutes. Our system has two type of accessing modes, administrator and user. Student management system is managed by an administrator. It is the job of the administrator to insert, update and monitor the whole process. When a user login to the system. He would only view details of the student. He can't perform any changes .The system has four modules. They are

Department details
Course details
Professors’ details
Student Details
Exam Details

Student Management System is expected to maintain a number of details. The needed modules are given below.

Department details:
This module deals with different departments in the college. Department details are stored in SMSCategory. It deals with the details department.

Features of this system are:
1. Modularity
2. User-friendly Interface
3. A decisive step towards a paperless office
4. Lower costs.
The purpose of this document is to provide a detail view of whole of the functioning, data and control flow of system. This document will address four major goals which will clearly define the scope of the document. They are: * This document provides feedback to the clients and will assure them of better understanding of the system by the developers. * It decomposes the application into component parts in orderly manner , as a result will help the developers to understand the system very well. * It will cover all the system’s functionalities in detail, and eventually it will serve as input to the design specifications. Overview:

In this document, we include mainly three components functional description, data description, module description. In functional description, and brief description is included. In data description,flow chart, E-R diagram etc. are included. In module description, database used in the system and tables that are used by modules are included. It provides students, professor and administrator with student's , professor's profile and course involved,student's scores in exam and his marksheet where various reports are filtered and saved in respective tables. This module is designed to allowto be accessed by all to student's professor's and administrator of any university can be used by any school college or University .

Functional Description

Student Data Management System is the data repository of students, starting from getting admitted, to passing out and collecting certificates; the system is capable of generating useful reports at the designated levels. Student Data Management System manages Fees, Examination Scheduler, Marks Entry etc. Student Data Management System also generates Identity Card of students in printable format....
