Student Council Election Speech
Election Speech:

Everyone: Hey Belleview! We are running for Junior class officers.

Michelle: My name is Michelle Le & I'll be running for President.

Fallon: My name is Fallon Mincy & I'll be running for Vice President.

Madi: My name is Madi Cobb & I'll be running for Secretary.

Brooke: And my name is Brooke Crippen & I'll be running for Treasurer.

Michelle: As leaders, our responsibilities are heavier than that of other classmates. As leaders, efficiency, organization, honesty, compassion, & fairness are skills that we must hold. As leaders, we are expected to willingly step our foot down & lead our student body. We will carry out these expectations & do the best that we can for our class.
With 3 years of experience in student council, I know what it takes to be an excellent president. And I know what can & can't be done & what needs to be done. After all, we will be working hard this year for you.

Fallon: We're not perfect, but we know that we are capable of fulfilling all the duties of leadership. We know that we possess the characteristics of being leaders. We're determined to accomplish the work that needs to be done as officers & more. We're dedicated to do great things, accomplish great things, bring new ideas to the table, and lead our fellow classmates in the right direction. And we can't wait to be the helping hands that mold this year's path.

Madi: Anyone excited for prom? Do you want prom to be affordable and memorable at the same time?! Well, that's what we, as class officers, will be working towards this year! Our main goal is to get all Juniors & Seniors to attend prom. Now, in order to do that, we'll be working hard to fundraise enough money to lower your ticket prices! The more work we put into fundraising, the lower your ticket prices will be, then more of you will be able to attend!

Brooke: Prom is going to be fun; prom is going to be memorable; and most importantly, prom is going to be priced at a reasonable

At yesterday’s town council meeting (3/6/17), the serious problems of Cottone Field took center stage. Concerned residents and students lined up to inform the council about the worn-out condition of the field which has recently caused injuries to several students. The injuries were due to the uplift of the base layer of silica sand which purpose is to act as a cushion. Without this base layer of sand, the field becomes incredible dense, providing little to no dampening of impacts. The result of this is that students are getting sprained ankles in situations where they would normally be uninjured. One concerned resident reported “their was no difference in feel between the concrete and the field once I stepped on to it”. Another reported…

In my opinion, there are many roles that a student leader must presume such as representing the students and informing students. However, the main role for a student leader is to be an example for those around them. They must do this as it sets a standard for how other kids react. If they lead in the right way,…

Being a leader is more that motivating others to strive harder and accomplish goals. It’s more about gathering everyone with different skills, religion, ethnicity, etc. and making them one. As a leader, the task is to develop new strategies, tackle problems as soon as they start, recognize signs of stress, leave personal problems as home, put the job first, etc. Not everyone makes a great leader because time isn’t implemented to make changes that are necessary and don’t put the needs of the organization and members in thought. I will discuss who has been a great leader in my life any why. Along will that, I will discuss my traits as a leader.…

Good morning/afternoon teachers and my fellow classmates. Check it off. Yea, that’s right guys, check it off! Check off the box that says, ‘Raina Doshi’, and vote for me to represent you. Graduation is one of the many occasions that bring both a smile and tears to a student. Being the Valedictorian in a graduation ceremony is utmost honour. And I would like to hold that honour. But why, I hope you’re all wondering should we check it off? Why choose her and not any of the other thirteen people up here. It’s because I know, and deep inside your heart you do too, that I can do the best job representing our student body. I’ve been going in front of crowds ever since I was singing the ABC’s. Being in numerous piano recitals and talent shows have given me the experience to stand before an audience. Even in school, I’ve been MC for assemblies. I am known as a smart and well-rounded person. My grades this year have more often than not been in the high 80s and 90s. Moving on from my academic achievements, I am also involved in our school community. I am a part of Helping Hands, and I hang with a grade 1 student during nutrition breaks. He’s a child quite different from others who requires special help and attention. I work with him almost everyday. Furthermore, I have already represented our school well at the Future Leaders Development Workshop back in April. Last Fall, I was the new kid. I didn’t know anyone and had no friends. Yes, you might call me a loner, but no one did that. This school gave me the opportunity to fit in. I made lots of incredible friends and memories that I’ll forever cherish. The point is this place has given me so much, I feel obligated to give back and represent it. Thank you all for listening. I hope you will consider me to emblematize you. And don’t forget to check it…

Leadership is the capability of holding responsibilities over others and guiding them as a role model to make good decisions. They themselves should be able to make wise choices and have a positive outlook. I am a leader because I am the oldest out of six children. They all look up to me for guidance and I always have to set an example whether I am out of the house or at school. I also take care of them when my parents need to run errands. I have a lot of experience in telling my sisters they can not do certain things if it involves their safety, breaking of rules or is disrespectful. Respect is important to my family. We learn to respect our elders, parents and one another. If my sisters do something they were not supposed to do like color on the walls or eat junk food, I also get in trouble. It can be difficult but I have had responsibilities at a young age. Service, scholarship, character and leadership are all important and should strive to improve all…

I am passionate about being a leader because I see leadership as the product of responsibility and experience. As a former student leader at high school, I believe the meaning of campus leadership is to provide high quality services for the students and the parents. Also, leaders need to exchange ideas from each other, so they can make the community a better place for students to live and study. I am always seeking for opportunities to help people and enrich my experience, and I believe I will make great contributions as a leader on MICA campus.…

Correspondingly, I have learned that maintaining group focus while avoiding dominating every decision is vital to have fruitful administrative endeavors. Being a youth representative for my church and a volunteer coordinator for my school’s chapter of National Honor Society have required efficient uses of my leadership skills. As I continue through life, I hope to foster my leadership abilities and use them to unite people and attain our mission.…

A leader sets an example in rehearsals and performances, and that means to lead by example. During and after school, a leader should be deferential and respectful to their peers. This is especially important off campus, whether with the band or individually, because one is representing Clark Band. A leader should be known as dependable, admirable, honest, responsible, and much more. I understand many people want to contribute this, but I would be a better asset because I have many goals for this year, and a lot of motivating for meeting them.…

But, if we want to make our class trip fun, many of us need to contribute to projects that will earn us money. I have a few ideas. One money-raising plan of mine is to have a local car wash and we can charge about four dollars a car. We will set up the car wash in a very convenient place and with the amount of people we have in our SCA class we could get a lot of cars done. Also, I think that we can wash the teachers' dogs, clean the apartments, rake leaves, shovel snow, or something to that effect. Another big idea of mine is to have bake sales outside the cafeteria or outside our school.…
