My Personal Strengths and Weaknesses
I believe life itself is like a roller-coaster ride of learning experiences and within those experiences we all have strengths and weaknesses that define us. Familiarizing ourselves with our strong and weak points can help us become more well-rounded and self confident individuals. By writing this paper, I will undoubtedly identify each of my personal strengths and weaknesses. This course for Professional Development has definitely giving me a clear understanding of the many ways to improve my life-time of learning.

Determining my strengths is first figuring out my highest competency levels in certain areas of my life. Knowing my weaknesses (to me) is one of my strengths. Painting a true picture of my life as it is today and where I want it to be in the future allows me to grasp my weaknesses and improve upon them daily.

Organization is a strength of mine that permeates into all areas of my life (professional and personal). At work, I keep a detailed "to do" list which I prioritize daily. I am also able to complete my "to do" list with efficiency which saves me time and allows me to take on additional work to help my department. At home, I have a dry-erase board in my home office which details family goals for the week. This board serves as a point-of-reference for my family to refer to when they lose focus of the tasks assign to each of them.

Another personal strength of mine when working with my work team is my computer savvy. I have extensive knowledge of all the Microsoft Office programs. I can create high quality and professional PowerPoint presentations, elaborate Excel spreadsheets, and small database programs in Access. The skills I have will shine and contribute tremendously towards the result for our class assignments.
