Strategic Plan, Part I Conceptualizing a Business
When one decides that they are going to open a business, there are a few things that need to be considered. First a strategic management plan is needed to outline what, where, and how of the business. The outline will include the decision of each different department that will make up the business and the roles that each of these departments will play in the day-to-day operations. The plan will also establish the short and long-term goals and objectives for not only each division but also for the company. For JJ’s Auto Restoration the first thing that needs to be done is to decide what types of autos will be restored, this will assist in deciding the objectives. A plan on how the business will achieve their goals can be put into place once the decision of the type of restoration that will done has been made. The next step will be the where, where will JJ’s Auto Restoration open their business. Choosing a location that will be in an area of high traffic spot but at the same time can be easily found by customers is an important decision and will assist the business achieve the goals established by the objectives. The how of the strategic management plan will be determining the way to make all of this happens. The four functions of management are important in creating and implementing a strategic plan, as it provides the business the current status of where the business is at the moment and where they plan to be in the future (
