10 – Jesus is stripped away from his clothes: People are struggling

The 10th station showed that Jesus has no enough strength to help himself. Jesus was maltreated by the soldiers like any other poor person. Now days, many people especially the rich are like the soldiers who stripped away the clothes of Jesus. The poor and struggling people symbolize Jesus. We were thinking about how miserable their situation might be at home, that at their age, they have to try and earn money to satisfy their hunger and their family members at home will be waiting for them to come back with some food or money. Like Jesus, the poor are not pitied...but written off as trash. 3 - Jesus Falls the First Time

“ Have I not commended you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged. For the LORD your GOD will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

In the 3rd Station, Jesus wasn’t ashamed to fall even though we all know the cross was heavy. We expected him to be strong because he is the son of God but he did not. Like in our modern day, we expect everyone to be strong, yet I am weak. I am ashamed to admit failure in anything. God allowed Jesus to fall and he also allows us as well because he knows that we can learn and be challenged by our failure and he won’t leave us all alone.

4 - Jesus Meets His Mother: I love you Mom!

In the 4th Station, Jesus’ pain caused Mary’s grief and like any other mother, they would also feel the same way if they see their children in pain because they love their children. Jesus showed Mary as if he wanted to suffer every possible pain to give us an example of how to suffer when our time comes.

5 – Simon of Cyrene carries the cross: Everyone needs a helping hand

The 5th Station tells us that Jesus’ the son of God permitted Simon of Cyrene to help him carry his cross. The people thought that God, who has the power to help his son Jesus, didn’t help him instead Simon did....
