Statement of Purpose for Master’s in Administrative Studies at Metropolitan College, University of Boston.

I am applying for admission to the Master’s in Administrative Studies program in the Metropolitan College, University of Boston, because I want a career in the research and teaching of management. Also I have the eagerness to learn and execute innovative methods of well-organized / resourceful management as well as possess competent Computer and Communication skills. In particular, I am interested in factors that affect the competitive performance of a business concern, and the manner in which changes in technology affect an organization’s structure, long-term business strategy, product development, manufacturing, supply chains, distribution network, information needs and standard systems. In order to gain an appreciation of these and related issues, it is essential for me to have a strong grounding in administrative studies connected with Information Technology, as well as gain a General Management perspective.

It would enable me to channel my quantitative and conceptual skills in analyzing business issues and would open up new avenues in research. Subsequent to earning a Master’s degree, I would like to investigate issues concerned with technology as it affects organization strategy, structure and systems.
I believe that my background in Graduation and Associate in Arts Degree has prepared me for such a career. I did my Graduation from California State University Long Beach in Business Administration with finance as my major securing 3.002 GPA. I have also my Associate in Arts Degree from Irvine Valley College with major in University Studies, Business Administration Emphasis securing 3.45 GPA. I wasn’t terribly sure what I wanted to do with my life, nor did I have any idea how to get where I thought I wanted to be. My relative lack of passion wasn’t seen as a deterrent in my affluent Texas town, though, as it was a place where nearly all high school students went on to college—it was the only option we really considered or that was presented to us by our families, teachers, and counselors as a post-graduation plan. It seemed to me that if I was going to spend the next four years of my life in school, I might as well try a different tactic than the one that had allowed me to coast rather unremarkably through high school.…

My pursuit of physical therapy as a profession comes from my interest in healing the human body. Originally inspired by my grandfather, it has been my profession of choice for as long as i can remember; From a young child observing my grandfather unable to be mobile without the use of a cane, to my teenage years when I learned about the dynamics of the human body, to even more recently, after the excision of an osteochondroma on my femur during my time spent in the care of a physical therapist. <---RUN ON SENTENCE, ADJUST IT These humbling experiences have helped solidify my passion for physical therapy.…
