Based on the readings from State and Local Government this week, review and summarize how each issue is managed at the state and local levels.

State Local

Coordinate legal disposition and destruction of obsolete records. Each local government has one office that is designated as records management officer (Saffell, D, 2010.)

Inadequate funding and underfunded mandates requirement placed on counties as they manage county jails and probation programs. Have procurement authority and flexibility allowing purchases from federal, state and local government (Saffell, D, 2010.) Political Parties“Political Parties are important to democratic societies because they help to link citizen to their government. Political parties perform key tasks in a democratic and republican society, such as aggregating and articulating needs and problems as identified by members and supporters.
