Introduction
This assignment evaluates the business performance of StarHub Corporation by calculating and analyzing financial ratios from data in financial statements. Evaluation of its overall financial position and performance during the past 3 financial years is done with proposed recommendations based on which opinions are given whether to invest in this company or not.

2. Corporate Profile

2.1. Organizational Background
StarHub is Singapore's fully-integrated info-communication company, offering a full range of information, communications and entertainment services for both consumer and corporate markets. StarHub operates Singapore's fastest two-way HSPA+ mobile network that delivers up to 21Mbps for downlink to complement its nation-wide GSM network, and an island-wide HFC network that delivers multi-channel cable TV services (including High Definition Television and on-demand services) as well as ultra-high speed residential broadband services. StarHub also operates an extensive fixed business network that provides a wide range of data, voice and wholesale services. Over Singapore’s fiber-based Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network, StarHub offers a broad range of home and business broadband plans along with a host of advanced media-rich value-added services.

Launched in 2000, StarHub has become one of Singapore's most innovative info-communications providers, and the pioneer in 'hubbing' - the ability to deliver unique integrated and converged services to all its customers. StarHub, listed on the main board of the Singapore Exchange since October 2004, is a component stock of the Straits Times Index and the MCSI Singapore Free Index.

2.2. Mission and Vision
StarHub communications enterprise’s vision is to pursue customer satisfaction. StarHub’s services include both variety and personalized telecommunication services, emphasized the meticulous, thoughtful and human-oriented customer service.

3. S.W.O.T. Analysis
According to Lynch (2006, p.450), SWOT analysis of an organization is an analysis of the Strengths and Weaknesses present internally in the organization, coupled with the Opportunities and Threats that the organization faces externally. This analysis allows organizations to be aware of their strengths and weaknesses and also the opportunities available so that the company can make use of them. The threats faced by the company can be mitigated by taking proper measures. Using the S.W.O.T. (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis the company’s Strength Weakness Opportunities and Threats could be easily be determined.

3.1. Strengths
(1) The customer resources for different customer groups widely, have stronger pertinence, (2) Market share big - rather than rivals such as M1, SingTel, and its market share is the biggest of all. (3) Outlets, sound coverage. No matter in the supermarket or a department store, have business hall. (4) Perfect service network. Establish customer service center, service hotline, online business hall, etc, to provide convenient and fast, high quality service.
