DESCRIPTIVE RESEARCH
SURVEY METHOD

The presentation and assignment report helped us to build an understanding on descriptive research and survey method. In the presentation and assignment report we have taken the following distributing point on which the discussion and write-up are built:- 1. Examples of research studies from central institute of education library which have used survey method in their research study. 2. Meaning and nature of descriptive survey research.

3. Types of descriptive survey studies.
4. Characteristics and steps of conducting descriptive research using survey methods. 5. Context and relevance of descriptive studies in education research. 6. Linkages between survey method and different paradigms.

EXAMPLES
Following examples of research studies were identified from central institute of education library.these research studies are conducted by M.Ed , M.Phil and Ph.D scholars who have submitted these research studies in the partial fulfillment of required degree.

2. Present study is limited to children belonging to slum area of Jahangirpuri. 3. The study is limited to out-of- school and urban children.
