Introduction
An inventory system is basically a process whereby a business keeps track of the goods and material it has available. In its simplest sense it can be done manually by a count at the end of each day. In this way it is possible to keep a record of the goods coming in to the business and goods being sold. However this is only really appropriate for small businesses that do not have a lot of stock. For larger business it is more likely that a computerized system will be required. With Inventory System, gathering and maintaining up-to-date inventory information in a distributed environment is quick, accurate, and easy. Transaction processing systems are commonly used to operate businesses. In this era, manual transactions evolved into computerized ones. Manual inventory systems turned out to be slow and inaccurate resulting to problems like running out of stocks and slow computations of product prices being bought by the customers. The degree of success of a business greatly depends upon controlling the merchandise inventory. The continuously improving and upgrading of computer usage into more powerful and useful applications has made managing business transactions a lot more efficient and easier. Today, businesses use the computer to assist in controlling and monitoring many aspects of the businesses, since manual approach in data processing could no longer meet the demands of increasing volume of transactions.

Chapter 1
Background of the Study
Businesses at the present time are innovative and competitive. They make their business process transaction into computerized one. The most commonly used system by the companies today is the sales system and integrates it with an inventory system. One of the business owners that wish to make an improvement on his business process is Mr. Teddy Lim. His AVR, DC Regulated Power Supply, Step-down and UPS transformer manufacturing company named, Digital Marketing Company, located at # 537BermudaSt., sta. Cruz, Manila, has started operating since 1984. From then, every transaction is being done manually. In that case, monitoring sales and inventory is difficult and time consuming that recording every transaction requires filling data in a logbook manually. Another problem is the difficulty in determining the price of an item or even in checking whether a product has already reached the critical number of stocks. Furthermore, inaccuracy in computations is usually occurring. With the system we’re developing we can help Mr. Lim with his burden on his company. Statement of the Problem

Many companies nowadays usually lack of efficient inventory system. This is usually because most small time dealers don’t care much about the existing system due to the reason that the business is still small and just growing.
