ORGAN DONATION: They need it as much as you do

Audience: Those who are in doubt and reluctant to make a contribution in organ donation. General speech purpose: To convince the audience in donating an organ. Specific speech purpose: After hearing my speech, the audience will be able to cite the advantages in donating an organ.


A. Attention-getter: Did you know that one person die every 90 minutes waiting for transplant? Maybe the person next to you may need your organ.

B. Proposition: Today there is serious organ shortage happening all over the world, many people depart this life while waiting for an organ transplant and because of this, becoming an organ donor is a very important choice that could give another person a second chance of life.

C. Preview: In my speech I am going to discuss the advantages and some arguments against organ donation and narrate some experiences of persons who donate organs and persons who receive an organ donation.

B. Advantages of organ donation.
1. Create a culture of life and love.
2. It gives hope to the recipients of organ donation.

D. Some statements of persons who donated an organ and persons who receive an organ donation. 1. Statement of the persons who donated an organ.
2. Statement of the person who received an organ.


A. Review: In conclusion, we can perceive that organ donation is an act of genuine love as the person donate his organ to those who are at risk of dying as their vital organs does not function properly.
