Aids in the African American Community

The vulnerable population that was chosen for this paper is aids in the African American community. There will be data obtained from the county or state health department and/or possible a government agency providing some statistical information about this vulnerable population. There will also be a service goal that will be identified on the above population. Further topic of discussion will include a design program to reach the goal that have established, as well as elaborating some community agencies or organizations that will partner together in ways to obtain the provided goal. Based on my research I will identify two potential funding sources that may potentially provide monetary sponsorship and why these entities would be likely to fund sources. African Americans with aids are a vulnerable population that is singled out by the system, in which nevertheless are belittled and stigmatized about all aspects of way of their life.
The AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) epidemic has been in existence for quite some time now. Within the community it became quickly sought out that this disease was acquired and became apparent that this disease was not specifically established in gay men, but in all genders in the community. This disease has grasped all walks of life and continues to be the talk especially in this African American community. While the federal government’s investment in treatment and research is helping people with HIV/AIDS live longer and more productive lives, HIV continues to spread to a national rate of over forty thousand new infections per year. Utilizing data obtained from the state health department the statistic information received is that the position of AIDS action that current HIV/AIDS statistics represent only a portion of the epidemic in the United States.
