We all have that special place or city that brings life back into us. Mine happens to be San Pedro Sula (SPS), a densely populated city in the northern part of Honduras. SPS means such a great deal to me because all of my family lives there, there are plenty of fun things to do, and the countless amount of delicious cuisines.

When I first arrive in SPS I get really excited to see my family, which I have not seen since Christmas. Since I do not get to see my family very often, I try to spend as much of my vacation with them. While I am there, all my family usually gets together and goes out to eat at nights or after mass and we have a really enjoyable time. Also, sometimes we take a two day trip to our enormous property in another city were we can play soccer, have a picnic, or even just relax and catch up on things.

Besides traveling to SPS for visiting my family, I love all the fun activities that I can do there. For example, I always sign up for a two week soccer camp and there I can enjoy playing soccer with other kids my age while learning new and cool tricks. Another fun activity would be el carnival del dia de San Pedro ( day of San Pedro ), there are plenty of beads thrown from the floats and marimba and other traditional type of music is played on the streets.

An important part of every city and its culture is its food. One thing I love about SPS is its great selection of tasty food. One of my favorite places to eat is a fast food restaurant called “Baleadas Express”, a place where they sell big Baleadas, which are big tortillas usually wrapped around beans (frijoles) and eggs, but you can add anything you like.

Because of all these great things, San Pedro is my special place. In all, I always look forward to coming back next summer.
