If music be the food of love, then play on. Food is essential for people to live healthy happy lives. Without food hunger controls the mind and the only experience the body can feel is weakness. Upon consuming food, the body is revitalized and becomes strong again. Love is passion for life and satiation with oneself. Food is to the human body what music is to love. Ever been in love before? One of the easiest and most influential ways to express love is through music. The lyrics in some music appeals to the different emotions causing love to feel overwhelming. Writers of music sometimes write what they experience and since love speaks only one language, other people can relate. Music artistes like Ne-yo and Beyonce knows how to cook up the perfect combination of notes to satisfy any hunger or even the ‘munches’. Listening to soul music creates happy feelings towards loved ones. Similar taste in music connects so many different people. Discussions could go on forever because of one point in a song. Most couples have an “our song”. This song usually depicts the emotions that each person feels for the other. Music is one of the easiest ways to express self without actually talking, with just the right choice of song. In my experience, music and love always intertwine, especially since writing is a passion for me. Music is food for the soul’s mood at that particular moment. Finding music to feed emotions is an experienced that is enjoyed to the fullest, just like eating a hearty plate of food. Listening to the words of music, watching the music videos, is like preparing a meal of curried chicken with just the right blend of spices and seasonings. The outcome of both is satisfying.
