I am a senior undergraduate student pursuing my Mechanical Engineering in D.V.R college of Engineering and Technology affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (a Pioneer University in India). My career objective is to pursue research in the field of Energy Sources; therefore I wish to pursue graduate study in Energy Management. In the following paragraphs I have given a brief description about my academic background, objectives in pursuing graduate study and my career goals.
In my school days a few Science Fairs and Seminars were the events that triggered an inclination towards science in me. Since then my innate strength has always been Mathematics and Physics & I opted for the same in my 10+2 level. I was placed in top 10% of approximately 2, 00,000 students who took EAMCET-2005, a state wide common entrance test for aspirants seeking admission into various engineering courses. With personal interest I have taken up MECHANICAL Engineering as my undergraduate major as I believe it has tremendous potential to become a dominating force in this millennium affecting all walks of life. The four years of undergraduate study broadened the range of my knowledge; it has given me a valuable insight into practical aspects of study. I have acquainted myself with various subjects in my field, like Engineering Mechanics, Thermo Dynamics, Kinematics of Machines, Dynamics of Machines, Thermal Engineering, Metallurgy, Non Conventional Sources Of Energy, Heat Transfer and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
As per the academic curriculum I have completed the course work in various Mechanical labs. I am strongly interested in Thermal Engineering lab, Heat Transfer lab, Fluid Mechanics lab, Computer Aided Design lab. Upon this interest I started working towards designing and developing equipment that could successfully charge the cell phone batteries using wind as the source of energy rather than using the conventional...
