Photoshop is the leading digital image editing application for the Internet, print, and other new media disciplines. It is embraced by millions of graphic artists, print designers, visual communicators, and regular people like you. 

Resolution is the amount of detail you can see in an image. You can enlarge a photograph indefinitely using more powerful lenses, but the image will blur together and be unreadable.  Resolution refers to the number of pixels or individual color dots in an image. A high resolution image has more dots, which allows it to display more detail.

Toolbox contains the main tools for working on images. Click any tool to select and use it, you can produce management information at the click of a button, allowing reports to generate immediately.

marquee  are selection tools which allow you to select rectangles, ellipses and 1-pixel rows and columns.

bitmap is a mapping from some domain (for example, a range of integers) to bits, that is, values which are zero or one. It is also called a bit array or bitmap index.

JPEG or Joint Photographic Experts Group is a commonly used method of lossy compression for digital photography (image). The degree of compression can be adjusted, allowing a selectable tradeoff between storage size and image quality. JPEG typically achieves 10:1 compression with little perceptible loss in image quality.
