SOLAR ENERGY
Our environment is in a fatal state any move could cost us the world. We need to work with the environment and not against it, we need to use what it is giving us every day and not every million year, once it is gone it is gone. Instead of using fossil fuels and having them burn to waste use solar energy and use what the sun gives us every day. Solar energy is an effective alternative source because there is very little pollution, they cut down on fossil fuels and are cost effective.
Solar panels give off no pollution, radioactive waste or carbon dioxide, the only pollution is from the manufacturing, and installing which is no were close to the pollution of nuclear, fossil fuels, or wind energy. Unlike wind turbines they make no noise pollution or noise at all and they don’t kill the environment in the process or harm it in any way.
Solar panels also help us become less dependent on fossil fuels. Considering we will have the sun until the end of the world, and fossil fuels are expected to run out by two thousand twenty, Anders Siverson and Colin Campbell told new science magazine that less than three thousand five hundred billion barrels of oil remaining on earth in total. Also With seventy one present of the United States population relying on fossil fuels for electricity and only two present rely on renewable resources.
Solar energy is not as expensive as people think they may be expensive at the start but after it’s installed they provide free green energy, and it costs less to lay down the high voltage wires required for alternative sources.
Our planet needs more renewable resources such as solar energy it is better for the environment and is cheaper in the long run. We need to use what we have every day like solar energy. We should use what is easy to get to and maintain. Use renewable resources and not non- renewable resources. Solar is cost effective, eco-friendly, and renewable, and help the earth by working with it and not against it.

Harvey also pointed out the success that Germany was having by using rooftop solar panels. The way it works is that the government offers payments for electricity generated from solar panels. The payment is roughly 50 cents per kilowatt hour. The average payment in the US in 11 cents per kilowatt hour, but the payments would not be as high as the German payments here.…

Fossil fuels well that’s a thing that I have always taken for granted until I saw the documentary of Crude Impact. Well I did know that the population is increasing abundantly but what I didn 't know is when the consumers increase in such a vast number so does the production. Now imagine this just one person has 30,000 items that relates to fossil fuels and multiply by the seven billion on our world population. That’s a great quantity of items that relates to fossil fuels in our daily lives. People need to start getting a reality check of what may happen if we continue to use our fossil fuels so much we may lead to environmental degradation. For instance, in the Titanic even though the ship was sinking many people said this is an unsinkable ship people rather believe in the myth instead of getting into the lifeboat. The myth is people believe these fossil fuels will never run out instead of using alternative resources which in this case is our lifeboat. We better get on the lifeboat before the ship starts sinking. I will be doing my part by increasing my independence on fossil fuels.…

The alternative energy resource that I have chosen will be the solar energy, because is basically based on the sunlight. The energy from the sun when it comes up in one day can supply all the power that we need for a couple of years. With that being said we can save more than enough money with electricity and the environment that surrounds us, would ultimately be way cleaner. This world will be cleaner for the future not only for humans, but also for other species and organisms. With the way that our population is growing we need to save some of our many natural resources we serve for the future of mankind for major events that may occur. It may be more expensive at first, but as years go by it you will continue in the direction to save more and more to the point that it is very…

For years, the nations of the world have relied on some form of energy to sustain the populace and the industrial sectors of that nation. Fossil fuels (oil, coal, and natural gas) are the backbone of the United States’ energy consumption. Fossil fuels are not an infinite source but a finite source. Scientists do not know the exact process behind the creation of fossil fuels, except that the creation takes a very long time. Because fossil fuels are not unlimited and speculation has some fossil fuels disappearing by the end of the 21st century, many individuals believe that the United States needs to look at other resources to fuel the country (“Introduction to Renewable Energy: Opposing Viewpoints,” 2009).…

Solar energy is one of the most widely used energy resources throughout the world solar energy is the most promising renewable energy resources. It is widely available and easy for any one to use it is practical for individual use to power a single home or for a company facility such as bright sources solar facility in the Mojave Desert California. The facility can produce up to 377 megawatt. It uses three towers with mirrors surrounded by solar panels to reflect the light on to the solar panels to harness the suns energy. The benefits of solar much more out weigh the negatives solar can save billions of trillions of dollars for nations. The reliability of solar energy is great rising and setting of the sun is consistent while cloudy days are less predictable there are more than enough sunny days to power homes. “She…

Energy – Solar panels are a great sustainable construction technique. If they are placed in the right areas and face at the right angle these solar panels can harness a lot of energy from the sun. This energy can then be used to heat water, power lights or any other form of appliance which needs electricity. There is an initial cost to purchase and install the solar panels which can be steep but over time with the electricity you save from using them you will make your money back and more. For a business to be seen using sustainable construction techniques like the use of solar panels it will give them a good public image and people will be more inclined to use them for their service.…

Even though technology has greatly advanced in the last decade, most governments of countries around the world still use fossil fuel-based methods of energy production. This can be detrimental to mankind since, according to (online) http://library.thinkquest.org/06aug/01335/welcome.htm, "The use of these fuels has two major problems; it depletes the natural supply and eventually will run out; and the burning of the fuel (i.e. coal) creates vast pollution in the form of greenhouse gases (GHG's such as carbon monoxide and dioxide, and sulphur dioxide). It is these gases which lead to global warming and slowly destroy the planet." Governments will have to opt for renewable energy/ alternative sources of energy to overcome this problem. Only through the use of renewable energy/ alternative sources of energy (which are virtually non-polluting) can this destruction be slowed-down to save this planet. Renewable energy is an alternative to fossil fuels and was commonly called alternative energy in the 1970s and 1980s. According to (online)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_development, "Renewable energy/ alternative sources of energy is energy which comes from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, Algae-to-fuel and geothermal heat, which are renewable (naturally replenished)." Usage of these alternative sources of energy/ renewable energy should be promoted by Governments due to the environmental benefits, limited resources of current energy sources, in the name of development, Governments' responsibility to the people, and Government's aim to build a political gain over its opposition parties.Governments of countries from around the world would be doing a great deed for the future of this world by promoting the usage of these alternative sources of energy/ renewable energy since, according to (online) http://library.thinkquest.org/06aug/01335/welcome.htm, "it will reduce the acceleration of global warming and could help the future generation on the…

Another important point is the energy sources that we are using. Oil and petrol are taking the leading part of the bad energy source usage for the environment. What I suggest, alternative energy sources should be supported by the governments such as solar, wind and wave energies. Denmark is a quite good example on this issue; they are producing 20 % of their energy needs by wind energy. Governments should use incentives to the ones who researches and develops solutions on alternative energies. Although the Sun being the most important energy source in the solar system, we are not using it efficiently. Solar panels are good inventions but this is not enough, R&Ds should increasingly continue.…

umerous ways are presented to conserve energy. The process of conserving energy is not only how but also on what to use for it. Solar energy is one alternative energy source that would be converted to electricity by the use of these solar panels. Most solar panels are using silicon to produce the panels. The cells that are contained in these solar panels are normally silicon. These individual cells are shrinking all the time and becoming cheaper to produce. Solar panels provide users with a source for their work. Applications of solar panels are presently economical where there is plenty of sunshine. They further added that solar panels help reduce reliance on fossil fuels and other depleting resources that are used to generate electricity. There are many reasons why most people use solar panels not only it is a source of clean, cheap, and renewable energy for our homes. Using solar panels can influence the capacity of our home supplies. This method allows us to generate additional electricity which can be fed into our current power systems, which will have the effect of reducing consumption from the national grid, saving you money in the process.…

The electricity we are using is mainly converted by other kinds of energies, especially fossil fuels. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), the most of the common fuel that used for electricity generation is coal sharing 45% of the U.S electricity energy, which is about 4 trillion Kilowatt-hours. Fossil fuels such as coal and petroleum are not renewable. Once they are used, the total resources of them are reduced. There will be one day that the earth is running out of fossil fuel. As the relationship between coal and electricity is…

Today, many countries mainly developed nations are dependent on non-renewable energy sources such as fossil fuels (oil and coal) and nuclear power. People call these sources, non-renewable energy because they cannot be regenerated or replaced once it is used. These sources are sources that exist in a limited amount on earth. University of California College (2009) state that over 85% of the energy used in the world is from non-renewable supplies. Most of countries in this world need these sources of energy for industrialization. Many countries use non-renewable energy sources because they are very concentrated forms of energy. Nevertheless, non-renewable energy is bad for environment because it causes of pollution and can lead to global warming. We need renewable energy sources to help us continuing our lives and replace the non-renewable energy sources. Renewable energy is energy, which comes from natural resources, such as sunlight, rain, wind, and geothermal heat, which are renewable.…
