Background: Stacy is a 24 year old Hispanic college graduate who recently secured a job at a large pharmaceutical company for 1 year 6 months.

Bill: Caucasian male- 24 year old who’s been in the pharmaceutical company for 1 year 3 months.

Leonard: 56 year old Caucasian male who despises minorities. C.E.O for the pharmaceutical company.

Opening Scene: *Meeting*

Leonard: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen and you Stacy.

Stacy (to Bill): What’s his deal? He’s always trying to set me apart from something like I’m different.

Bill: Hmmm, I don’t know maybe that’s just how he is.

Leonard: I have some good news for you all, I’ve increased your pay---but this excludes those that have been here for less than two years.

Stacy: (asks question) So does this mean I’m not included in this?

Leonard: You don’t meet the requirements Stacy.

*Few minutes later*

Bill (to Stacy): I’ve just been informed that I have an increased pay, amazing right?

Stacy: How is that possible and I’ve been here longer than you?

Can you identify the type of discrimination that was shown in the skit?

The use of diversity programs has become the rising standard among professional businesses.
