Statement of the Problem

What are the negative factors contributing to the low levels of self-esteem among traditional comprehensive high school students in Portland?

Reason for Selecting the Area of Research
The researcher wants to gain knowledge of the negative factors that contribute to the low level of self- esteem in the traditional comprehensive high school students in Portland and there after finding a suitable way to address these problems.

Method of Investigation

In order to combine data for this for this assessment the researcher decided to use printed questionnaires.

The questionnaire was chosen because of the following reasons:
  1. It requires little time to complete

  2. Respondents can fill in the information required at own convenience

  3. Participants are guaranteed privacy since it is done in private

A survey on low self- esteem and the Traditional Comprehensive High School Students in Portland

Dear Students,
This is a survey being carried out in the comprehensive high schools in Portland, to determine the negative factors contributing to the low levels of self-esteem among Traditional Comprehensive High School Students.   This is a study conducted for a Social Studies course I am at present pursuing.   Attach to this letter is a questionnaire that will assist with the completion of such assignment.
The questionnaire is private as you are not permitted to write your name or address on the questionnaire, therefore no one will know who answered to what.   You are asked to answer the question honestly.
