ABSTRACT:
The Internet is now integrated into nearly all aspects of everybody’s daily lives and routine, the use of the internet is pertinent in every home, schools, organizations and business use are no exception, many business owners are recognizing the important role that Social Networking can play in reaching out to their target market and expanding their needs, which includes but not limited to sales, advertising and the marketing mix (Price, Product, Place and Promotion). The marketing mix is intended to reach one audience, which is the target market.
Social Networking can help a business advertise its product and/or services, gain contacts which in turn will help boost business, which will then bring in more revenue for the company by increasing public awareness, even entrepreneurs who run small businesses from their homes can take advantage of this resource to set up a global presence.
To make the most of Social Networking, it's important to fully understand the concept of Social Networking and Social Media, these two components are used interchangeably as will be used in this paper, however; the differences between Social Media and Social Networking are just about as vast as night and day. There are some key differences and knowing what they are helps gain a better understanding on how to leverage them for branding your business.
